The Collective Journey
────── ✦ ──────
“We did not begin with a building, we began with a belief.”
────── ✦ ──────
A belief that the printed word pressed onto paper by human hands across centuries constitutes civilization’s most democratic archive.
More than 50 years of devoted time the founder has built an expansive and one of its kind inventory spending decades in conserving, archiving and promoting such novel archive. The journey of Print heritage collection is deep rooted in the quest for knowledge. It is the fascination with printed world that gave birth to one of the leading and the most iconic private archives of the world.
The very first collection to this inventory was ‘Patriot’, the daily newspaper in the year 1972 which led to the foundation of the massive inventory.
Later on, the focus shifted towards meticulous documentation, organization and conservation of the rare publications.
The concept of Print Heritage Museum is built on the core ideology of ‘Print is Print’.
WHY PRINT HERITAGE MATTERS
────── ✦ ──────
First Draft of History
Newspapers and print media are often called the "first draft of history."
Authentic Historical Record
While textbooks offer the clarity of hindsight, the print heritage preserved within our walls captures the world in its rawest, most authentic form—exactly as it was experienced in the moment.
An Enduring Witness
Print is a tangible anchor to our past. Unlike digital bytes that can be silently edited, deleted, or lost to server crashes, the printed word stands as an unalterable, enduring witness to the truth of its time.
